Take note of how he or she is showing the home – was he knowledgeable, interesting, polite, and engaging? What kind of promotional materials did he have? How accommodating was he?
And if you just take some time to notice the for sale signs in your neighborhood – when they were put up and when the “sold” sign was plastered – you’d know that the agent who sells the fastest could be the one for you, not the one who’s selling the most number of houses.
Lastly, you may think that an agent would be the last person to refer his fellow agent, but they may also specialize in different fields, and so if, for example, one sells only commercial or investment properties and another specializes in residential properties, then chances are they would refer each other to clients.
